Sports + Me = Injuries

Haha. What a topic to start with. As you guys probably know, my weekend was filled with sports, sports and sports. Yea, a whole weekend of sports.

First of all, I would like to congratulate the Masa(UTS Malaysian Association) soccer team for coming in 1st. You guys rox! Against all odds and pressure, we were able to come in first for the very first time in UTS history. Lol.

Back to topic. Sports and me have never gone well over the years. Whenever I sport, there's a high chance that I will end up injured. Just as my brother said when I tried to explain to him what is my latest injury about, "It's easier if you name those parts that you did not injured rather than those that you have". Yeah, I practically almost injure my whole body although they're not at the same time.

It all started since I was in primary school. Being a sporty person (sports is in my blood since last time) in primary school, I alwiz play during recess time. Well, who doesn't actually? Haha. I fractured my left wrist while trying to swing like Tarzan. Haha, serve me right. Lesson learnt, It is not as easy as you tought to swing from a tree to another. I had a cast on for about two months. Injuring your arm is never easy. There's many thing you can't do easily, for instance, eating by yourself.

The injuries followed me to secondary school. In my secondary years, I had two major injuries to my head and thigh. I had a collision while playing in a soccer tournament and ended up bleeding pretty badly due to a gash above my eyebrow. Apparently my teammate was going after the same ball as me and collided MOUTH first with my head. Wtf. I think his teeth gashed my eyebrow which then leads to blood flowing out. Thanks to those that offered me a ride to the hospital. I still remember you guys.

The next incident was during sports day in school. I had a muscle tear in my thigh area in a 100m dash race. Well, I guess I should blame the school for this. The sports carnival was held in our very own padang. Yes, and it's a lousy padang coz it's uneven. To make matters worse, it was raining heavily and the padang's condition is getting worse. The only positive thing I got out from this is a gold medal with the win :) and a chance to talk so someone special to me. The bad thing is, I was unable to walk properly for nearly a month.

Yea, those were the injuries that I had in my primary and secondary years. Not to mention the countless times I had sprained both my ankles.

Therefore I declare my motto for sports is "If you wanna play to win, play hard!"

As of now, I'm actually blogging with my elbow bandaged. Yup, my list of injuries just kept growing. I sprained my elbow while playing basketball for MASA. To make things worse, I missed the final game against UNSW which we lost by a mere 2 points. Btw, Good Fridays weren't suppose to be like this afterall. Grrr...

P.S > Photos on sports carnival and dance party will be up soon.
